Encouraging Innovation in Ecuador

Minesoft Visits the Ecuadorian Institute of Intellectual Property

Business Development Manager Oliver Huc travelled to Guayaquil in Ecuador in January 2015 to deliver a patent searching workshop as part of a training course for the national network of Technology and Innovation Support Centers (TISCS). Organised by WIPO in conjunction with the Ecuadorian Institute of Intellectual Property (IEPI), the Workshop was attended by a mix of patent examiners from the IEPI and patent commerce and research centers. The global TISC network has been established by WIPO to provide innovators in developing countries with access to technology and IP information services and expert knowledge.

Oliver also gave an interview to ANEPI, the TV News Agency promoting IP in Ecuador, to explain more about the training and the importance of patent information in general.
