Minesoft has enhanced its searchable chemical patent database Chemical Explorer with the addition of French and German patent collections.
Launched at the end of 2015, Minesoft Chemical Explorer is a unique data mining software designed to extract chemical structures and chemical terminology from the full text of millions of patent documents.
The new French and German collections brings the total number of leading patent authorities covered to 12 including USA, Australia, Israel, India, European Patent Office and PCT as well as Japanese, Chinese and Korean patents.
Currently containing over 12 million unique chemical compounds mined from over 10 million full text patent documents, Chemical Explorer enables researchers to retrieve chemical compounds extracted from patent documents by drawing chemical structures, importing structures or searching chemical terminology.
Chemical data can be explored in external libraries and publicly available resources as well as other applications including PatBase, the global patent database developed by Minesoft in partnership with RWS Group. As part of the Chemical Explorer project Minesoft created “TextMine” – available to PatBase users at no extra cost – a powerful software Viewer for chemical related data and other scientific parameters that enables patent searchers to extract key chemical and scientific terms from within patent documents and explore them thematically with automatic highlighting to speed up review.
