The Minesoft headquarters, located in Richmond-Upon-Thames, play a significant role in the local community. Co-founder, Ann Chapman-Daniel, is on the steering committee for the Richmond Business Investment Plan and the Minesoft team take part in many events organised by the local Chamber of Commerce. Most notably, the annual Richmond Business Awards; in 2016 Minesoft sponsored the Best Website award and were happy to take home the Best Innovation Award.
This week, Minesoft were mentioned in the local paper, The Richmond & Twickenham Times, for sponsoring the Richmond Business Awards again in 2017, this year backing the Best Innovation Award. Ann Chapman-Daniel is quoted highlighting the importance of winning an award for the morale of a company, “Winning a Richmond Business Award benefits a business by demonstrating success to the wider world and offering tangible PR opportunity. Being recognised sends a positive message to employees and customers.”
Ann Chapman-Daniel was quoted again for a separate Chamber of Commerce event to celebrate local MP, Vince Cable, for his recent election as head of the Liberal Democrat party in the UK. When the topic of the discussion turned to the potential impact of Brexit, Ann stressed the importance of protecting the UK’s cutting edge in innovative, high tech sectors such as pharma and life sciences and also flagged her concern regarding the potential loss of key EU regulatory bodies which had originally been earmarked for the UK.
