Every April 26, the World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO) celebrates World IP Day. This year’s campaign celebrated the brilliance, ingenuity, curiosity and courage of the women who are driving change in our world and shaping our common future.
In honour of the day, Minesoft’s Caitlin Kavanagh has published an article celebrating lesser-known female inventors whose innovations – from the everyday to the extraordinary – have had life changing consequences worldwide.
As a patent solutions provider for the intellectual property industry, driving innovation is central to the Minesoft ethos. Since 2010, we have partnered with WIPO in the ASPI program to give researchers in developing countries free or low-cost access to sophisticated tools and services, like PatBase, for retrieving and analysing patent data. We hope this work will help WIPO in their mission to support innovative and creative women (and everyone else!) in their quest to bring their amazing ideas to market.
